This privacy policy explains how Beguti, a sole proprietorship registered in the Netherlands ("Beguti", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares your personal information when you visit or buy from beguti.com (the "Site"), sign up for our emails, or otherwise contact us.

Information we collect

Information you give us: your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number, order details, subscription preferences, messages you send us, and reviews you submit.
Payment information: payments are handled by Shopify Payments and other payment providers. We don't store your full card number.
Information collected automatically: device and browser information, IP address, pages viewed, referring website, and how you interact with the Site and our emails. We collect this through cookies, pixels and similar technologies.
Consumer health data: because we sell a digestive supplement, the fact that you bought or showed interest in our product, and anything about your digestion that you choose to share with us (for example, in a review or support message), may be considered health-related information under some U.S. state laws. We use it only to fulfill your orders, provide customer support and run the services you ask for. See "Consumer health data" below.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run our store, under contracts that limit how they can use it:

Shopify (store platform, checkout and payments)
Loop Subscriptions (subscription management)
Klaviyo (email marketing)
Judge.me (product reviews)
Kaching Bundles (bundle offers)
Shipping carriers and fulfillment partners
Analytics and advertising partners, only if you allow the related cookies

We may also share information when required by law, to protect our rights, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or sale.

Cookies and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site working, remember your cart, understand how the Site is used and, if you allow it, show you relevant ads on other websites. You can manage cookies through our cookie banner and your browser settings. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Washington and other U.S. states, and the European Economic Area and United Kingdom, you may have the right to:

Delete your personal information
Receive a copy of your information in a portable format
Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information, or of targeted advertising

To use any of these rights, email us at support@beguti.com or use the "Your privacy choices" link in the Site footer. We'll verify your request and respond within the time required by law. We won't discriminate against you for using your rights.

Consumer health data

We collect consumer health data only as described above, only to provide the products and services you request, and we don't sell it. You can ask to access or delete it, or withdraw your consent, at support@beguti.com.

Legal bases (EEA and UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal information to perform our contract with you (orders and subscriptions), based on our legitimate interests (running and improving our store, preventing fraud), based on your consent (marketing emails and non-essential cookies), and to comply with legal obligations. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In the Netherlands, that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide our services, keep records for tax and accounting purposes, resolve disputes and comply with the law. After that, we delete or anonymize it.

International transfers

We are based in the Netherlands and our service providers may process your information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, for these transfers.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Site is not intended for children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
